The reasons for change to LED are now more powerful than ever, with superior light quality, little heat generation and significant savings in both energy and lamp replacement costs (LEDs typically last 13 times the length of an average halogen lamp). More recent advancements in LED technology have allowed for a very exciting product, the LED Filament Lamp. A mains dimmable LED with the comforting look of the classic filament lamp.
