Darc room is the first dedicated lighting specification exhibition to be part of the London Design Festival and we’re very proud to be part of it. We thought there would be no better place to launch our new range of light fittings than at darc room. With extensions to our popular Tubular range and a new engine and downlight range too, we cant wait to show off our new products.
We are excited about the prospect of spreading the word about lighting design and technology to the wider design community and we would love to see you. Your attendance will be key to making the event work and to make lighting design a permanent fixture in the London Design Festival programme in the future.
The event will be very different to a run-of-the-mill lighting exhibition:
• it’s in a central London location (B1, Victoria House, Bloomsbury Square – 300 metres from Holborn station) so it’s in the thick of the LDF action and easy to get to.
• opening hours are 11am – 7pm so plenty of time to plan your visit.
There will be an interactive light installation by Studio Olafur Eliasson’s Little Sun so you can make your own Light Graffiti and some of the darc night light installations will be on show in order that the work of lighting designers get shown to a wider audience and you can take a closer look.
There’s also a fantastic lecture programme called darc thoughts which will be split over the three days. Another big difference between darc room and other shows is the use of Smart Lighting with IoT / Beacon technology throughout the venue so visitors with smart phones who have the darc room app will automatically have information about the exhibitors and features pushed to your devices. Let us know if you would like to download the app, and put darc room in your diary!
